🎭 IGNITE takes on Broadway! 🎭

Did you hear the exciting news? IGNITE is taking on Broadway! We’re proud to announce that we’ve joined the coalition of supporting partners for the new Broadway play, POTUS ([link removed] ) , which is making history as the first all-women-led farce.

We are honored to be a partner of the play shaping the conversation around women’s leadership and agency. Our coalition believes in women’s power to make change and IGNITE is making sure Gen Z leads the way!

Times Square Rally for Women

We launched this partnership in Times Square, the heart of New York, ahead of the opening performance. Cast members, comedians, partners and powerhouse individuals joined us to commemorate this huge moment. IGNITE alum/board member Zunera Ahmed and I took the stage to speak about how young women are changing the face of politics in America. Check out some of the photos from the event!

About the Coalition

You may ask, what is IGNITE's role in the new play? POTUS is partnering with nonpartisan, women-led organizations that are combining forces to advocate for leadership and activism of all women in service of equal rights and fair representation. The coalition includes Black Voters Matter, Center For Reproductive Rights, ERA Coalition, IGNITE, She The People, Supermajority Education Fund and Vote Mama. Together, we’re empowering young people to own their political power - from President to community boards.

About the Play

From 28 year-old playwright Selina Fillinger and 5-Time Tony Award-winning director Susan Stroman comes a comedy about the women in charge of the man in charge of the free world. POTUS explores the role gender plays in the world of politics and features an incredible cast, including Lilli Cooper, Lea DeLaria, Rachel Dratch, Julianne Hough, Suzy Nakamura, Julie White and Vanessa Williams.
