GOP Governors Defend the Southern Border
Per The Daily Wire:
A group of 26 Republican governors have launched the American Governors'
Border Strike Force, a partnership aimed at securing the southern border
in response to the Biden Administration's continued failure to do so.
Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey: "The [AGBSF] will serve as a force multiplier
in the fight against criminal activity directly tied to our border. My
thanks to my fellow governors who saw the problem and chose to be part
of the solution."
President Biden Sends U.S. Oil Overseas
Per The Daily Wire:
Following
President Biden's decision last month to release 1 million barrels of
oil a day from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve in order to combat
rising gas prices, a report has revealed that the emergency oil is
instead headed to Europe. The move is especially alarming considering
the energy crisis and rapidly accelerating inflation Americans have been
forced to deal with domestically.
Biden Administration Stands By Decision to Lift Title 42
Per Politico:
The Biden Administration is defending its decision to lift Title 42 on
May 23, the public health order which allows for the quick removal of
illegal immigrants, amid pushback from Republicans and even a growing
number of Democrats. Many are arguing that if Title 42 is lifted, the
U.S. can expect an unprecedented surge of illegal immigrants crossing
the southern border this summer. Despite those concerns, the White House
says
it is moving ahead.
