John— April has been a very busy month in the gun violence prevention world.  Thanks to our efforts, the Biden administration took a long-awaited, decisive step to stem the flow of dangerous ghost guns into our communities. Our FACT coalition also petitioned the Federal Trade Commission to take action against the gun industry’s deceptive advertising practices. These are just first steps, and this fight is a marathon, not a sprint. [ [link removed] ]We couldn’t have achieved this without your support. While we’ve made a lot of progress, the fight isn’t over yet.  Earlier this month, we witnessed a tragic mass shooting on the New York City subway where at least 29 people were injured. Georgia also became the latest state to enact dangerous permitless carry legislation, eliminating basic protections for its residents.  Our lawyers are doing everything they can to fight back against these deadly trends. We are on the ground in states across the country, pushing for lifesaving measures and preventing the gun lobby from putting more Americans at risk.
