Was Kirsten's decision to turn down fossil fuel money the right one?

Friend,

Can I be brutally honest with you? As a professional fundraiser, Kirsten’s decision to sign the “No Fossil Fuel Money” pledge made me nervous. Shutting the door on a revenue stream that literally every other candidate in this race has left open puts us at a competitive disadvantage. But you know what? I respect the hell out of that decision. And, after getting to know Kirsten over these past few months, I know that decision was the right one.

Kirsten has spent her entire career protecting our planet and fighting the harmful impacts of climate change. That's why she’s endorsed by environmental champions like Congressman Raúl Grijalva, Tucson Mayor Regina Romero, and the League of Conservation Voters.

As a member of her finance team, it’s my job to figure out how to make up for the fact that - unlike our opponents - we’re refusing all contributions from the fossil fuel industry. But that’s where you come in. Time and time again, when Kirsten and the team have asked, you’ve stepped up. Which is why I’m asking you today to help us prove that candidates don’t need fossil fuel money to be successful.

If you’ve read this far, you probably agree with that statement.
Which is why I’m asking you to pitch in $10, $20, or even $100 to help get us reach this critical end-of-month goal.

Thank you for everything you’re doing to help elect Arizona’s next great Congresswoman!

With gratitude,

Danny Carroll
