** MCN Eid Grocery Distribution sponsored by the Mayor's Office

The Muslim Community Network will be welcoming the Muslim Holiday Eid Al Fitr by distributing 436 grocery boxes on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm at the Islamic Cultural Center of New York, 96^th street Masjid. We are writing to cordially invite you to attend this distribution in preparation for Eid with NYC Muslim families. The 96^th street Mosque is one of the biggest gathering and prayer spaces for Muslim immigrants from all around the city and we want to make sure that they have a festive Eid celebration by distributing 436 grocery boxes sponsored by the Mayor’s Office.

Eid Al Fitr is a festive and joyous celebration to conclude the holy month of Ramadan. It marks the end of a month of fasting and night long prayer. The grocery boxes will provide essentials for families to prepare a feast on the day of Eid without worrying about affordability.

In addition to the grocery distribution, MCN will also be doing a voter registration tabling for community members to register and be able to vote in the upcoming elections.

Sponsor Eid Toys for Kids Impacted by Jan. 9 Bronx Fire



On January 9, 2022, a tragic five-alarm fire at the Bronx Twin Park Northwest building took the lives of 17 Muslim community members and left more than a hundred families displaced. On March 4th, 2022 MCN started distributing funds we raised to families in the amount of $800 to $2,000 based on family size, and those that lost loved ones received $4,000 and provided 300 meals and 200 to go bags with daily essentials.

As the Muslim holiday of Eid Al Fitr is approaching, the impacted families remain in our thoughts, especially the children who have suffered from the mental and emotional stress of being displaced. We ask you to join us in making this a special Eid for the children impacted by the devastating Bronx Fire by purchasing Eid toys for them through our Amazon wish list. This is our way of giving back this Eid Al Fitr and we ask you to join us in spreading the love and joy by putting a smile on the faces of these children and making this Eid extra special for them as they recover and heal from the horrific fire.
