My team reached out yesterday to introduce our goal of 3,000 contributions by midnight on April 30th. I wanted you to hear directly from me why it’s so important that we hit this goal, and to humbly ask for you to make a contribution.

Here is why your contribution is so important:

We’ve set a goal for a number of contributions rather than a dollar amount this month because the strength of our movement is measured in grassroots support.

That means a contribution of $5 or $10 is just as important as a contribution of $100 — because every contribution you make is a sign that you have my back in my very first Senate re-election campaign.

It’s especially important that we hit our goals knowing that eight Republicans have filed to challenge us this November. So, please:

Can you rush in a contribution of $5, or any amount you can afford, before our deadline on April 30th at midnight? I would not ask if it wasn’t so important.
