John -

If Democrats are going to take back the Senate, we need to protect every seat in our Democratic firewall. That's the simple math in how we stop Mitch McConnell.

As chair of Senate Democrat's campaign arm, I'm doing everything I can to make sure we flip the Senate blue - and in a second, I'm going to ask you to pitch in to the campaign of a fellow Democrat and one of my dearest colleagues, Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin. I hope you'll give me a chance let me explain why.

Sen. Durbin is an inspiration to me. No single member of Congress has been at the forefront fighting for the rights of DREAMers more than Dick - he's fought for nearly 19 years to pass the DREAM Act and help the nearly 800,000 DREAMers continue to call "home" the only country they've ever known.

The Supreme Court is ready to let Donald Trump end DACA and protections for DREAMers, so we can't afford to lose Dick's leadership in the Senate right now. But he needs the help of grassroots Democrats like you to keep fighting in the Senate, John.

If we're going to stop Mitch McConnell and protect DREAMers, health care and the future of the Supreme Court, we need to reelect Dick. Can I count on you to give $5 or more right now to help Dick win in Illinois so Democrats can flip the Senate blue? There's no path to a majority if we lose here.
