Economic disparity in our country is greater than ever.
 
We see the effects in our cities, suburbs, and rural areas. Our schools, transportation systems, workplaces, and neighborhoods.
 
I see it here in the fourth district, where our community has some of the wealthiest and some of the most disadvantaged communities in our country.
 
Economic disparity isn’t a partisan problem – it’s an American problem.
 
As the Chair of the Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth, I'm working to identify how we can strive together in both the public and private sectors to bring more opportunity to our communities through bipartisan collaboration.
 
Recently, my colleagues and I visited Milwaukee where we met with local leaders to discuss issues facing their communities, and how we can best address those challenges in a bipartisan way.
 
There are undeniable cracks in our system, but we know we must work together to solve the toughest challenges we face. Not just for ourselves, but for our kids, and the bright future we hope to build.
