Legislation like this is exciting for a number of reasons -- but most importantly, it creates a real possibility of changing the lives of DC residents, particularly renters. It brings us one significant step closer to victory in our fight against the climate crisis. By having provisions around sustainability for new and existing housing in this bill, we're ensuring better health outcomes for residents.
We wouldn't have found our way here without countless hours of direct action, community engagement, public testimony, and electoral work.
