What is Affordable Housing Month? Affordable Housing Month is our chance as affordable housing advocates and allies to join forces to be bold, loud, and collectively advocate for housing and racial justice in the Bay Area.

Because we are unstoppable when we use our collective voice!

What We’ll Be Doing: All across the San Francisco Bay Area, we’ll be coming together with our members and Affordable Housing Month Conveners through dozens of regional events to highlight innovative ideas and policy solutions and join in critical and inspiring conversations!

This month, let’s focus on community – because we thrive together when we are unified. Let’s also make the connection between housing and all the other issues we care about, like children’s health outcomes, education, and the environment.

Let’s shine a light on how housing brings safety and dignity to all the people in our communities – because we are humans first, and all people should feel safe and live in peace and dignity.

• “Letter to Your Representative” Tool: Let’s urge our lawmakers to prioritize affordable housing! Here is a pre-filled letter to submit to your local representatives, urging them to prioritize affordable housing and homelessness solutions in the 2022-23 state budget. More pressure and more voices mean better outcomes for our advocacy work!
