What a wonderful event we hosted on Saturday for our annual Texas Tough gala! I hope you were able to attend! We sold out of tickets and had over 100 on the waiting list. From the Quick Draw Shoot-Out and live music to the dinner and speakers, and then fireworks and cannons, it was truly a night to remember!
If you had VIP tickets and were able to take photos with our speakers, those will be emailed directly to you.
MISSING SPEAKER
Sadly, Lara Logan ended up in the emergency room and was not able to speak to our guests at the event. We are hoping she will reschedule for a special event with us in the near future. It would be free of charge and livesteamed for those who cannot attend.
UGH... WE HAD ONE JOB...
Last but not least... we ran so short on time at the gala that we didn't even have time to raise the funds - THE WHOLE REASON WE WERE THERE! Can you believe that??? The fire marshall told us at the 11th hour that fireworks had to happen at 9:30pm instead of 10pm as we'd planned, so we rushed everyone out the door before they had time to do what they came to do - show support. Ugh! We depend on the funds raised at this event to do what we do all year long. Please go ahead and support the work of True Texas Project by clicking here and donating!
NEXT UP...
We're already making plans for the NEXT Texas Tough gala, so go ahead and mark your calendars for April 22, 2023!
We at True Texas Project work hard, and we will continue to work hard if we know we have your support. Thank you for your love for Texas! Julie McCarty & Fran Rhodes exhausted but happy :-)
This is Fran and me with Bonnie Brown -- one of our leaders in the RGV area. She traveled the furthest to celebrate with us! Love that!
