When it comes to the border, I don't want to talk about plans. I don't want to talk about compromises. I want policy. I want the law to be enforced.
Our whole border trip was overshadowed by the very sad news that last weekend a Texas National Guardsman named Spc. Bishop Evans drowned to death not far from where we were in Eagle Pass.
He had risked his life to save two illegal migrants -- later discovered to be drug smugglers -- who were drowning in the current of the Rio Grande. Spc. Evans lost his life doing an act of true, selfless bravery.
This should never have happened, but illegal border crossings have been encouraged by the Biden administration's intentional dereliction of duty. To add salt to the wounds, we haven't heard one peep from Joe Biden about Spc. Evans's sacrifice and worse Jen Psaki tried to blame Texas for the incident.
I cannot portray in words my absolute disgust at the treatment of the brave Americans protecting our country at the border by this White House and the leftwing media. Last year, we heard for weeks on out the verifiable lie that Border Agents were "whipping" migrants -- with no apology or accountability when the lie was exposed.
Now a brave soldier dies trying to clean up the mess the left made, and there's no condolences to his family, no mention of his bravery from Joe Biden.
Enough is enough. Securing the border isn't rocket science.
We have to enforce the laws already on the books. We have to make sure Title 42 stays in place. We need policy, not plans or discussions. That's what I talked about on Fox News and I encourage you all to watch the clip.
