Hello,

Governor Ducey ran on driving down the income tax, and with your help, he won.

Last year he fulfilled a campaign promise by signing into law the largest tax cut in Arizona history: a 2.5% flat tax on personal income. That makes Arizona's the lowest flat tax in the nation.

Liberal Democrats tried to repeal this historic tax cut, but last week Arizona's state Supreme Court reinstated the flat tax. This means all taxpayers get to keep more of what they earn.

If you're wondering how we got to this point, a few facts about Arizona's economy over the last few years:

  • When Governor Ducey took office, he inherited a $1 billion deficit
  • Each year, he's passed a responsible, balanced budget -- cutting taxes while adding record funding to public education
  • Arizona added half a million people, over 18,000 new businesses, and nearly 400,000 new jobs
  • Now, Arizona's unemployment rate is the lowest it's been in 45 years
All of this, with the largest income tax cut in state history, record investments in education, and Arizona still has a surplus.
