John, I've spent a lot of time battling to ensure every vote is counted. The former president and his enablers sued my office 43 times. They sued my office 19 times before a single vote was counted -- just to try and make it harder for people to vote. They weren’t trying to make it harder for people who look like me to vote. They were trying to make it harder for Black and brown folks to vote.
If we are going to win these battles to defend our democracy, it requires everyone to get off the sidelines, get in the game and do our part. We need you now more than ever to make sure every voice is heard. The New Pennsylvania Project isn’t out there for one candidate or another -- they’re out there fighting for democracy itself. You can draw a straight line from those 2020 election lawsuits to the January 6th insurrection and then draw yet another straight line to the bills currently being introduced to restrict voting rights here in Pennsylvania and the sham election audit.
