Heather Mizeur decided she needed to run for Congress after she watched Republican Representative Andrew Harris spend more time attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election than representing his own district.

Heather is running a strong, promising campaign – she’s raised more money than her GOP incumbent opponent, and has scored endorsements, including Sierra Club, End Citizens United, and, we are proud to announce: Her Bold Move.

Following the events of January 6, dozens of members of the Maryland House of Delegates and State Senate signed a letter calling on Rep. Harris to resign for his role in undermining our democracy and peddling dangerous conspiracy theories. His extremist actions include:

🚨 Carrying a firearm into the Capitol and attempting to smuggle it onto the House floor after the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

🚨 Voting AGAINST a bipartisan effort to set up a commission to investigate the Jan. 6 attacks.

🚨 Joining far-right GOP legislators in contesting the presidential election results after the mob attacked, stating “legitimate constitutional concerns” about voter fraud.

Heather is a proven leader and legislative powerhouse. She led the nation’s first state-led fracking commission to help put a stop to fracking, she was a part of the movement for marriage equality in the Maryland House of Representatives, and she expanded pediatric healthcare throughout Maryland BEFORE the Affordable Care Act.
