Breaking news, team:
A federal judge in Louisiana blocked the decision to end Title 42: the Trump-era policy used to expel migrants and asylum-seekers under the guise of “public health.”
Ever since the Biden administration announced its plans to end the racist, xenophobic policy — which came after months of advocacy from organizations like United We Dream Action — there has been bipartisan backlash.
Republicans are leveraging scare tactics to drum up opposition to the ending of Title 42, and it appears to be working as elected officials, and now a federal judge, stand in the way of the Biden administration.
We didn’t push the Biden administration to end Title 42 only to see our progress dismantled by one federal judge. That’s why we’re hosting an emergency Texting Day of Action today to mobilize UWDA supporters to contact their members of Congress and demand an end to Title 42.
When we flooded Senate offices with phone calls last week, we saw results as Democratic Senators quietly withdrew their support for the bill to reinstate Title 42. Today, we’re counting on your support to ensure we have the resources to fight back again.
Please, rush a donation today to support our Day of Action so we can rebuild support in Washington for ending Trump-era policies like Title 42, once and for all. Any amount you are able to contribute today will go a long way to advance our cause.

Thank you for your commitment to ending racist, regressive policies that put the lives of Black and brown immigrants in danger. Together, we can achieve protections for immigrant communities and investments that will allow everyone to thrive.
