Last weekend, we made some history.
For the first time ever, a Black Kentuckian seeking federal office spoke at the iconic Hillbilly Days in Pikeville, Kentucky. I am honored.
It was so good to be with my family in Appalachia. This moment was proof that we’re building a movement from the hood to the holler. Together, I know we have the power to replace Rand Paul this election with a champion for working families.
But first we need to overcome a critical hurdle: winning our upcoming primary.
The primary election is in 21 days. Will you chip in $21 or anything you can today to support our people-powered campaign? Every dollar you give helps us contact more voters from the hood to the holler so we can grow our movement.
I can feel it in my heart. This movement is on the verge of making history. But there’s still a lot of work ahead of us to reach out to Kentuckians from all 120 counties and make sure we all raise up our voices this election to vote Rand Paul out of office.
That’s why we’re driving to different parts of Kentucky and meeting voters where they’re at. We’re dedicated to having conversations with as many Kentuckians as we can to talk about the issues that matter most to us and the crises our communities face. There’s so much we need to talk about together.
Campaign stops like the one we made this past weekend are a powerful opportunity to reach people that know our leaders have not been working for us.
People that believe that we deserve a future where visiting the doctor doesn’t bankrupt you, where teachers are paid what they’re worth, where folks don’t risk their lives crossing a failing bridge. People that believe that if we stand together, we can send a young Black man from the hood to the United States Senate and replace Rand Paul.
