Whatever you think about Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter, one thing is for sure:

If Trump is let back on; if Marjorie Taylor Greene’s personal account is let back on; if far-right conspiracy theorists are let back on — the amount of disinformation is going to explode, and that is on a platform already filled with disinformation.

And the sad truth is, much of that disinformation targets veterans; just look at the number of them who stormed the Capitol on January 6.

That makes VoteVets’ work a bit more difficult. Because a HUGE focus of our work is using the trusted voices of veterans to fight misinformation on Twitter (and other platforms) — especially misinformation targeting veterans.
