Friend,

Have you seen a microchip before? There’s a reason the word micro precedes chip, but for something so small, it’s causing a big problem.

For the past year, I’ve been fighting tooth and nail in the House to address the nationwide chip shortage that has negatively impacted domestic manufacturing and our economy.

That’s why I’m honored to announce that I’ll be serving on the COMPETES Act Conference committee – a new coalition of Democrats and Republicans working together to solve the chip shortage.

The COMPETES Act will provide funding to manufacturers in the United States – especially here in Michigan – so our domestic workers will have an incentive to produce more chips rather than buy them from foreign competitors.

This bill is a win-win. Not only will we solve the chips shortage with the COMPETES Act, but we’ll help our manufacturers in the U.S. and boost our economy.

I can see the finish line, friend, but Congress has to show bipartisanship in order to cross it. Will you *chip* in $25 or more towards my end-of-month goal so I can continue protecting Michigan’s manufacturing industry at all costs?

Throughout my career, I have always put protecting Michican’s manufacturing sector at the top of my priority list. You can bet the second our manufacturing industry calls for help, I’ll be the first person to answer.
