Today, we are thrilled to announce our first candidate of 2022: Dan Williams in Pennsylvania! Democrats can flip the PA State House blue this year, and re-electing Dan is critically important. Read on to learn more about Dan, Pennsylvania, and find out what you can do to help right now.

MEET DAN WILLIAMS
In 2018, Pastor Dan Williams ran for public office for the first time, eventually winning 61% of the votes to flip the district blue and become the state representative for the 74th Legislative District in Pennsylvania. Dan is a former UPS supervisor and Teamster who knows the importance of unions to ensure a living wage, access to affordable healthcare, and proper protections on the job.  Dan’s seat is a must-hold for Democrats in the Pennsylvania House; we’ll be hard-pressed to find a pathway to a majority without re-electing him.

WHY PENNSYLVANIA IS IMPORTANT
Pennsylvania narrowly voted for Joe Biden in 2020, and its newly-enacted state legislative maps create clear opportunities for flipping the PA State House blue. Dan’s seat is a must-hold for Democrats; we’ll be hard-pressed to find a pathway to a majority without re-electing him. Volunteering and donating to support Dan's campaign will help drive votes up the ticket to elect a Democratic Governor and a United States Senator. Pennsylvania is also a critical state for democracy protection, and the next Governor will appoint a new Secretary of State.
