I am inspired by you (collectively).

In last week's email, I asked you what you'd reflected on during Good Friday or Easter this year. I received many responses; they were vulnerable and beautiful and sad and, perhaps above all, filled with hope.

I always love hearing from you all, which is why I invite replies every week. This time was even more special. You shared candid reflections about death, illness, war, violence, forgiveness, solitude, and more. But woven through these painful emails were the reality of Christ's solidarity and the hope of Christ's resurrection.

These themes tie in with several new pieces at the Century. We have a poem about Jesus standing at the door, an article about God's gift of tears, and a theologically rich interview with Rowan Williams. Plus there's plenty more below.

Email me: Do you have hope? If so, what inspires it?

Christ sighting: Easter Monday

Christ comes, a knock on the door when I least

Tears are a gift from God

“Essential things that we know to be dear or wrong have a way of taking up residence in our hearts, often drawing us closer to God and bringing us to tears.”

“Social media platforms’ measures to try to curb the influence of QAnon moms were too late; the damage had already been done. Furthermore, they didn’t really stop QAnon content. They just pushed it underground.”
