I’m running for Congress because in the richest country on Earth, no one should be hungry, homeless, without healthcare, or in poverty. The planet shouldn’t be burning while corporate politicians like my opponent take money from Chevron.

I am the ONLY candidate in my race supporting a $30 minimum wage, Medicare for All, a national jobs program, and Housing for All. Can you send a small donation now to help me win, so I can fight for that vision in Congress?

I co-founded Tacoma Housing Now and helped occupy empty buildings to get housing for our homeless neighbors. We got the city to add 200 shelter beds — 200 people who didn’t freeze to death that winter.

As a commissioner on the Tacoma Commission on Disabilities, I revived the push for a Wheelchair Accessible Taxi (WAT) service in the city. Hundreds of thousands of dollars had been set aside for the project a decade before, but the project hadn’t moved forward. I got the city to commission a report on how to implement a WAT in Tacoma, and we just received the report. Now we know where to seek additional funding and how to get this program off the ground, so EVERYONE in Tacoma can get a taxi when they need it.
