In our swampy political landscape, it's difficult to find true statesmen who stands up on principle and defend the Constitution. But, as a new write-up in the San Antonio Express News demonstrates, Congressman Chip Roy is one of those rare leaders.
"But even when supporters disagree with Roy’s decisions,
they say his positions are always based in principle, with a
strict adherence to the Constitution and an eye toward
shrinking the government."
Congressman Roy is primarily concerned about doing what is right and is unafraid to brush up against Democrats or Republicans or even all of Congress -- to make a principled point.
From his principled stand against vaccine mandates to his opposition to "building naming" legislation, Chip Roy is not afraid to swim against the political current. When it comes to helping small businesses and ordinary Americans, he's willing to work across the aisle to get it done.
Additionally, his private text messages, which were recently obtained through a House subpoena, display reserve, wisdom and foresight during the January 6 fiasco.
It's quite clear that Chip Roy is no run-of-the-mill Republican. He's a patriot, first and foremost. Let's make sure he stays in Congress fighting to defend our border, expose political corruption and protect our families.
