We know that student debt hurts Latinos, Black Americans, and marginalized communities the most. We know that it contributes to the wealth gap and hinders upward mobility. We know that during the pandemic, Americans were out of work, small businesses closed their doors, and families struggled – and are still struggling – to pay their bills.
