Hi Friend, If you’ve been following our social media feed and headlines around the state, it’s becoming apparent that several Nevada counties are facing pressure from motivated actors attempting to radically change voting procedures. Specifically, propagators of the ‘Big Lie’ that the 2020 election in Nevada was illegitimate are going from county to county in Nevada pushing laws that move our election system backwards, to a paper-ballot-only voting process. Share our coalition’s letter in response! Not only would this potentially violate state and federal laws, but it would also exclude access for voters with disabilities, make it time consuming to vote in rural areas, and make the job of our election worker heroes much more difficult. But more than that, these proposals act as a rallying cry for those who persist in the discredited belief that our elections in Nevada are illegitimate. That’s why we partnered with our Let Nevadans Vote coalition to produce this open letter addressed to ALL 17 Nevada County Commissioners, Managers, & Clerks. This letter details the threats and attacks our elections in Nevada face from the partisan actors who continue to propagate election disinformation. We’re here to set the record straight, but we can also use YOUR help! CLICK HERE to share our coalition’s letter on Twitter, and circulate this message as widely as possible. We want ALL Nevada elected officials and the press to take notice of the attacks on our elections, and know that our organizations, representing diverse communities of eligible voters all across the state, will NOT let this continue without having the last word. We appreciate your support. If you’re looking for more ways to get involved, check out my coworker Brenda’s next Storyteller event happening this Wednesday, April 27th at 5:00PM! Just register for the Zoom and come prepared to learn how you can inspire others by sharing your voting story! Thank you,
