Folks —
Last month, I signed on as a co-sponsor of the Affordable Insulin Now Act to cap the out-of-pocket cost of insulin at $35 a month because working families shouldn’t have to struggle to afford the medication they need to live a healthy life.
No one should have to make the impossible decision to forgo groceries or other basic necessities to afford essential medications like insulin — but that’s a reality for far too many Americans.
While many of my Republican colleagues in the Senate have voiced support for reducing prescription drug prices, not one of them has signed on to the Affordable Insulin Now Act . It’s yet another example of Republicans choosing party loyalty over progress and the American people.
As a public servant, it’s my responsibility to advocate for my constituents and the American people who have made it clear that the rising cost of insulin has gotten out of control. So, I’m calling on my colleagues in the Senate to take immediate action on this critical issue.
If you’re with me, sign my petition urging my Senate colleagues to pass the Affordable Insulin Now Act immediately and lower the cost of insulin, a life-saving medication, for the American people. [[link removed]]
