Hi John,
One of our biggest goals is to empower our community and lift our voices to make a political impact. To do that, we need to invest our resources in building long-term political power.
We've made huge strides in giving Iranian Americans a seat at the table. We've mobilized our community to take action against hate and war – and won. But to build lasting power, we need to do more than just prevent the most immediate crisis, we need to invest in the next generation . We haven't reached our fullest potential until we've invested and grown the reach and impact of the Iranian-American community in these four areas:
1.
Holding
elected
office
at
all
levels
of
government
2.
Working
on
Capitol
Hill
or
in
federal,
state,
and
local
government
3.
Working
on
political
campaigns
4.
Working
in
local
and
community
organizing
We have a plan to get this (and more!) done. We are proud to have just launched our Academies initiative with the ambitious goal of recruiting and training a new generation of Iranian Americans so that they're embedded in all four of these areas and have the tools to succeed.
NIAC Action Academy will provide the training and support needed to build representation in public office with a dedicated candidate pipeline, plus train the next generation of influential campaign staff through our political, organizing, and electoral fellowships.
NIAC Academy will provide important civic and educational training to support young Iranian Americans, and includes Congressional fellowships in D.C. that provide direct experience working on Capitol Hill.
These are long-term projects to build and deepen our community's power, and they require sustainable investments. Can you contribute $20 or more to usher in an era of Iranian Americans and further elevate our community's voice? [[link removed]]
