It’s almost the end of April, which means we’re coming up on yet another important fundraising deadline as we build our movement to unseat Yvette Herrell and flip NM-02 blue. Before I ask if you can pitch in before Saturday’s deadline, I hope you’ll take a moment to let me explain why your contribution matters so much right now.

We’re currently eight months into this campaign to give the people of NM-02 true leadership in Congress, and just over a month away from the New Mexico primary election.

Since far-right Republican Yvette Herrell flipped this seat red in 2020, she has made her priorities extremely clear: buddy up with Donald Trump and his loyal supporters in the QAnon Caucus, play partisan politics, and serve the best interests of corporate CEOs and Wall Street, not the people who elected her. She’s voted time and time again against legislation that would improve the lives of so many in our district.

I launched this campaign last September because I believe our district deserves better from our member of Congress: someone who will fight for more affordable healthcare and lower prescription drug prices, a higher minimum wage and greater economic opportunities, the conservation of our public lands, bold action on climate change, a stronger democracy bolstered by voting rights, and a district where all are welcome.

We’ve come a long way since I first set out to run for this House seat, meeting with New Mexicans all across the district, earning numerous endorsements from local, state, and national leaders, unions, and organizations, winning a majority of support at the New Mexico Democratic Party’s Pre-Primary Convention, becoming a DCCC-endorsed “Red to Blue” campaign, and getting out into the communities to knock doors and register voters.

We have just over a month left before New Mexicans make their voices heard and choose who will officially go up against Herrell in November. With your support, I know we’ll win both of these races and bring progress back to NM-02.

But with the costs of running this campaign rising, we need more grassroots support to do it. With our next deadline approaching in five days, can you chip in $10 or whatever you can spare to support our people-powered movement?
