We will be welcoming friends and comrades from around the country to conclude the day’s events with a May Day after party, featuring performances from community-based music projects, cameos from workers at the frontlines, testimonials from long time strugglers and young movement leaders, and a slideshow journeying us through the old Daily Worker photos of yesterday’s sit-downs to the Amazon, fast food, and mine workers’ strikes unfolding today. There will also be chat questions, trivia and shoutouts, and appearances from our grassroots journalists. May Day marks the final day of the People’s World 2022 fund drive, and we’ve got some wonderful prizes waiting whoever can make the biggest dent on our gala’s $5,000 goal. For instance, there's a framed limited edition poster commemorating the Little Steel strike, and a handmade original tote bag with printed original art by a People's World reader. And then there are the stacks of books from International Publishers and PW merch, just waiting for someone to take it all home!
