[1]Cheri Beasley for North Carolina

Friends -

When we launched this campaign nearly a year ago, we weren’t sure what to expect.

Cheri promised to reject corporate PAC money knowing it could hurt our fundraising – but also knowing that was the right way to run a campaign focused on the people. It’s a big deal in a race where GOP super PACs have already committed to spending at least $40 million.

North Carolina has never seen a nominee for U.S. Senate like Cheri.

But we knew we had to try something new to win in North Carolina — as Cheri has done statewide twice before. So Cheri put her faith in this grassroots team and the people of North Carolina and launched this campaign.

The response was immediate and overwhelming. Right after Cheri announced, Sonya, a teacher from Charlotte, chipped in $5. Then Catherine from Boone, a health care worker, made a $20 recurring contribution, and moments later, Anna, a social worker from Durham, gave $50... and we were off.

But now, we are facing another important challenge in just two days: our official pre-primary FEC deadline. We haven’t reached our goal yet, so we need a lot of people to pitch in today.

Can you please make a $3 donation to our campaign to help us reach our critical fundraising goal before our FEC deadline? As you can see, when each of us plays a role, it adds up in powerful ways.

This deadline is our last chance to prove that — no matter who Republicans nominate — we have what it takes to compete with their dark money and WIN!

We’re proud that we are funding this campaign the right way — powered by people.
