Hiya John,
Today’s the day! Congress just got back from Easter recess and we’re going to overwhelm their desks with opposition to the (un)SMART Copyright Act. This bill would limit creativity by installing copyright filters across the entire internet—and Congress needs to hear from YOU, the users and creators this bill will silence. We are delivering petition signatures at the end of today. Can you add your name to our petition and tweet to get the word out?

(un)SMART is like a whole new DMCA tool, on steroids. Creators across all pockets of the internet agree that this bill would subject creators to a scourge of never-ending takedowns and bans while only benefitting Big Content monopolists like Disney and RIAA.1 Congress shouldn’t want to make creativity harder, but they’re planning to sneak this censorship bill into must-pass legislation to appease their lobbyist friends.
Our joint petition with the Electronic Frontier Foundation has already gotten thousands of signatures, and we’re going to deliver it to Congress TONIGHT. If you haven’t already, can you add your name and push the page out to your friends and followers?
Together, we can show Congress that creators won’t be silent about legislation that would take away our free speech—and potentially our income. Tweet, stream, and post with #NoCensorshipFilter to show Congress how unpopular this bill really is.
Rooting for us,
Lia at ❤️Fight
