When we free one person from the drug war, we free us all.
Dear Friend,

In case you missed it, I’m resending my invitation from 4/20. Last week, we celebrated a special day, but this week, and every week, we cannot lose sight of those who weren’t able to.

People who have been unjustly targeted because of income or race, arrested for marijuana use or possession, and are in our jails and prisons. Until we win our fight, prohibition will continue to ruin lives and entire communities.

Make your gift in honor of 4/20, in honor of freedom, or in honor of someone you know who deserves more.

When we free one person from the tyranny of the drug war, we free us all. Donate now for marijuana justice, once and for all.

Thanks for standing with DPA.

Time is running out. Take action for maijuana justice. Donate now
Dear Friend,

It’s 4/20, the holiday celebrating marijuana (but you knew that). From New York to California, and in the 16 other states where marijuana has been fully legalized, there will be celebrations, thanks to supporters like you.

Yet, while the US House recently passed the MORE Act, in the eyes of the federal government, marijuana remains illegal, and cruel and unjust drug war policies still impact all of us, especially people of color and those experiencing poverty. That’s why, now, we need the Senate to act. While I hope you celebrate today – I urge you to take action for marijuana justice now.

Donate now

Help our advocates engage with federal policymakers to move the Cannabis Administration and Opportunity Act forward in the Senate, remove marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act, retroactively remove and expunge past federal offenses and remove all federal consequences for state level marijuana convictions.

Let’s make 4/20 not only a day of celebration, but a day to fight for equity and justice.

Maritza Perez   Thank you,
