Half of the world’s population lives in areas at risk of malaria, and
approximately 241 million people became infected in 2020. Malaria
disproportionately affects sub-Saharan Africa, accounting for 95% of all
malaria cases in 2020.

Over the last 20 years, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and
Malaria has helped save 44 million lives and given the world the tools to
end these preventable global threats, but that progress is threatened by
