I’m concerned. Our political discourse is headed in the wrong direction. I’ve spent most of my adult life in public service, and I’m shocked at how divisive, partisan, and alienating our national dialogue has become. It will only get worse if we don’t take action now.

The Renew America Foundation is working on a project to shine a light on political extremism—and the wayward politicians who promote it. “Rise of American Radicalism” is a research project to track the reckless rhetoric of public figures—whether it’s QAnon conspiracy theories, calls to violence against political opponents, or spreading the “Big Lie” of a rigged 2020 election.

This is a major undertaking, and that’s why I’m asking if I can count on you to help fund our efforts to do this research. We’re looking to raise $25,000 to help cover the cost to bring on researchers to assist with exposing the views of extremists who are running for public office.

To our knowledge, no other group is conducting this kind of research in the same depth or breadth. Rise of American Radicalism is a vital tool for Americans to understand the character of people who are seeking positions of public trust in this country and make sense of the extremist trendlines in our political system.
