Donald Trump and Republican leadership have been crystal clear since February. They are spending more time and money than ever in Oregon, attacking our progressive values in an attempt to take me out and elect a right-wing extremist to Congress.

And they've got someone all picked out: a hardcore Trump loyalist, ready to back this president's worst impulses: turning our public lands over to industrial polluters, selling our elections out to special interests, taking away our health care, blocking common sense gun reforms, and giving away tax cuts to billionaires while working families fall further and further behind.

Here's why they're so eager: they think they have a shot in November because our district is one of the most politically diverse congressional districts in the nation; Clinton only won by less than 500 votes.

And they think they can buy their way to a win. Polluters, special interests and billionaires are lining up to write huge checks; they're desperate to replace me.
