The Supreme Court will ultimately have the final say on the future of this program—and that's why it's more important than ever that we raise our voices now.

One of the Trump administration's cruelest immigration policies is currently under review by the Supreme Court.

The verdict of Biden v. Texas will determine whether the Biden administration has the authority to discontinue the Migrant Protection Protocols, better known as the Remain in Mexico program.

This program slowed or halted tens of thousands of asylum claims, forcing vulnerable children and families to remain in dangerous conditions at the Mexican border.

Tomorrow, the Supreme Court will be hearing oral arguments in Biden v. Texas. A coalition of immigration organizations will be hosting a rally in front of the Supreme Court beginning tomorrow morning (Tuesday, 4/26) at 8 a.m. Will you join them?

The Remain in Mexico policy has caused immeasurable suffering since the Trump administration enacted it in January of 2019.

Dozens of studies and investigations conducted over the last few years have repeatedly shown that asylum-seekers held at the border are at significantly higher risk of violence, including kidnapping, extortion, and sexual assault. They're denied access to basic services like health care and education—and in a legal sense, their right to seek asylum in the United States is systematically violated.¹

Despite the Biden administration's attempt at ending this inhumane, violent policy, the Supreme Court will ultimately have the final say on the future of this program—and that's why it's more important than ever that we raise our voices now.
