Texas Support for "Don't Say Gay" Law May Be Sign Of What's To Come
Last month, Florida’s Republican governor Ron DeSantis signed the unconscionable “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
It’s a law that completely bans discussion of LGBTQ+ topics and issues in elementary classrooms, further stigmatizing these topics and jeopardizing LGBTQ+ kids.
It's horrible, and hateful.
And so of course, Gov. Greg Abbott wants an identical bill here in Texas.
We cannot let this kind of hatred take hold in our state — we’ve got to put a stop to it wherever we see it.
