------------------------------------------------------------
KCYD will be convening to vote on the early endorsement of Secretary of State Steve Hobbs' reelection. Members can review the new by-laws regarding early endorsement procedure here ([link removed]) . The vote will require a
3/4th majority to pass. Secretary Hobbs' endorsement video will be distributed once it is submitted. One final note, you must be a member in good standing with KCYD to vote on endorsements. See below for more information.
Secretary Steve Hobbs' campaign has submitted the following materials so that you can learn more about his campaign.

Transcript is available here ([link removed]) .
They have also submitted their answers to the King County Democrats endorsement questionnaire, which can be found in full here ([link removed]) . This questionnaire includes questions such as:
* We know that there has been a long-standing issue in WA state with ballots of Black and Hispanic/Latine individuals being rejected at a higher rate than White individuals. What policies should be enacted to address this issue and other barriers to voting equity for marginalized communities?
* There are many ways to undermine elections, particularly disinformation campaigns intended to sow distrust in results. What do we need to do to make our voting process more robust against any such actions?
* As Secretary of State what specific steps would you take to encourage voter registration and how much of a priority would you assign to these efforts?
