Justice can at times feel slow – and in the case of the January 6 insurrectionists and those who supported them – sometimes glacial. But with more than 700 now arrested or charged and court cases underway, convictions or plea deals have been unfolding across the country, and justice is picking up speed.
The January 6 Select Committee has also been hard at work investigating the events surrounding the insurrection – reviewing evidence, issuing subpoenas, and questioning witnesses. In the weeks and months ahead, we expect the committee’s work to intensify. With primetime public hearings featuring witness testimony and more evidence likely to be revealed, months of investigation may finally pay off.
As the Committee’s investigation continues, we want to know how you think those involved in the insurrection – especially the high-profile figures that helped organize or participated in the events – should be held accountable.
Our fight to hold those involved in the insurrection accountable and to defend our democracy from future attacks remains more important than ever. Thank you for your advocacy, support, and feedback as we continue the fight.
