Bans on abortion hurt those who already face barriers, including Black, Indigenous and other people of color, those working to make ends meet, LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, young people, those living in rural communities, and people with disabilities. 
 
In Texas, a Latina woman was recently arrested for having an abortion. This is the type of cruel punishment we can expect when states are able to ban abortion.
 
As the conservative supermajority on the Supreme Court prepares to weigh in on the future of Roe v. Wade, state Republican officials are chomping at the bit to control if, when and how a person decides to start or grow a family.
