When public polling is released, political strategists on both sides analyze the data to make decisions about how they invest ad dollars and which groups of voters to talk to.

So when a University of New Hampshire poll came out this morning showing Maggie Hassan DOWN by two points, serious alarm bells went off — especially because our fundraising has slowed, and we’ve had recent conversations about budget cuts.

This race was always going to be close.
