I had a fantastic time visiting Valley Vista High School as part of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association Foundation's Capitol Hill Challenge. We discussed what I do in Congress as well as the importance of financial literacy. Thank you for having me!

Lesko Calls on President Biden to Keep Title 42 in Place

Image

Congressman Glenn Grothman (R-WI-06) and I, along with several of my Republican colleagues, have called on President Biden to keep Title 42 in place. Lifting Title 42 will have devastating impacts on our nation’s national security and immigration system. Read the full letter to Biden HERE.

Lesko Pushes Nuclear Independence

I cosponsored Congressman Bob Latta’s (R-OH-05) NO RUSSIA Act to create a national strategic uranium reserve and increase our nation’s production of uranium.

GET THE FACTS: Over One Million Migrant Encounters at our Southern Border in Six Months

Our southern border is overflowing with illegal immigrants! In six months, there have been over 1,000,000 migrant encounters at our southern border. If this many were caught, how many got away? Keep in mind that these numbers are prior to Title 42 being lifted. Once Title 42 is lifted, these numbers will only get worse. The Biden Administration’s failure to secure our border has endangered the lives of every American. We must keep Title 42 in place, end catch-and-release, and finish the wall. Border security is national security and under the Biden Administration, we are failing at both.

Casework Highlight

A constituent was awarded Social Security Disability but had opted out of Medicare B. After almost two years of asking Social Security to stop taking Part B premiums out of her monthly check, my office contacted Social Security. This led to the issue being resolved and a back payment being sent to the constituent.

Encouraging Story

I am pleased to share this story about two freshmen students at Arizona State University who won the Red Bull Basement 2021 global competition for their note-taking app. Brinlee Kidd and Sylvia Lopez came up with a way to simplify the process of taking notes. Seeing the creative and innovative solutions that our youth come up with is fantastic. Keep up the great work!
