John, I'm excited to share the latest from CRC with you:Who's behind the growing effort to push corporations leftward? ([link removed]
This year, a record number of shareholder proposals have been filed with publicly traded companies that push left-of-center issues. The Left's buzzword for these kinds of "woke" policies is "ESG," short for Environmental, Social, and Governance. Activist shareholders file these resolutions to pressure a company into acting on a particular issue. CRC's Robert Stilson examines the growing effort to enlist U.S. corporations in the Left's campaigns here ([link removed] did Arabella Advisors' "dark money" empire begin? ([link removed]
Before Arabella Advisors began there was the Arabella Legacy Fund, bankrolled by the Hewlett Foundation and Wilburforce Foundation. Its first initiative was Responsible Trails America, an AstroTurf group in Montana, pretending to represent grassroots citizens, that was set up to divert a few million dollars in federal trail funding. Today, the Arabella network is a $1.7 billion political Godzilla. Guest author Dave Skinner exposes its origins here ([link removed] state is States Newsroom targeting now? ([link removed]
Alaska is the latest front in the Left's battle for the states. States Newsroom, a network of left-leaning outlets posing as just-the-facts news sites in multiple states, is expanding, with new offices in Juneau, Anchorage, and elsewhere in the Last Frontier state. Although it presents itself as apolitical, States Newsroom is actually the invention of Arabella Advisors. CRC's Hayden Ludwig investigates here ([link removed] many states have banned "Zuck bucks"? In just the past two weeks, Alabama has banned private financing of government election offices, Gov. Tony Evers (D) vetoed a similar bill that passed in Wisconsin, and the Pennsylvania Senate voted a similar bill out of committee. To date, 18 states have banned or restricted "Zuck bucks," and six Democratic governors have vetoed such bans. CRC's Sarah Lee and Hayden Ludwig tally the growing reaction to Mark Zuckerberg's intervention into the 2020 election here ([link removed]

Soros Funds Radical-Left Candidates

Parker Thayer appeared on "Rob Schmidt Tonight" on Newsmax TV to discuss the many left-wing DA candidates whom George Soros has supported with donations. CRC research shows Soros and his network of personal political action committees have flooded typically low-dollar district attorney races with over $29 million to back left-wing "reform" candidates. Those elected have left a trail of destruction: skyrocketing violent crime, countless murders, little to no accountability, limited prosecutorial experience, a proclivity for scandal, and a tendency to unfairly prosecute political adversaries.

Tech, Musk, and Philanthropy
In this episode ([link removed] The debates over Big Tech and online censorship were thrown for a loop when Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of SpaceX and Tesla, announced he had bought a substantial stake in Twitter. So what does all that mean, and going further, what could the continuing rise of a man like Musk mean for public policy and philanthropy?

This week we're joined by Senior Investigative Researcher Ken Braun and Director of Communications and External Relations Sarah Lee for a roundtable on tech, Musk, and philanthropy.
