The Texas runoff is just 31 days away and we are closer than ever to our
massive opportunity to elect a new progressive champion to Congress:
Jessica Cisneros.

Alexandria joined Jessica on the campaign trail in February and witnessed
first-hand the energy and excitement Texans have about the potential to
elect Jessica and bring real change to TX-28.

But it will be an uphill battle this month. Jessica’s opponent has $1.4
million cash on hand and is using that money to run a brand-new TV ad.
Today, we’re hoping to send a big boost to Jessica’s campaign to help them
organize on the ground in these final weeks.

Jessica has a positive vision for South Texas and will actually serve the
people she represents. She is running to fight for a path to citizenship,
Medicare for All, and a Green New Deal.

Similar to Alexandria's primary campaign in 2018, Jessica is going up
against an entrenched incumbent – Henry Cuellar. He’s been in Congress for
16 years and voted almost 70% of the time with Donald Trump. He voted for
Trump’s border wall twice and is proudly anti-choice, but calls himself a
“Democrat.” It’s time for him to go.

Texas families deserve a progressive leader who will show up and fight for
them — and that’s exactly what Jessica will do.

Alexandria is working around the clock to grow our movement in Congress,
but it will take a mass mobilization of grassroots power to win in
