Free speech remains at the forefront of political discord. Social media platforms like Twitter are a cornerstone of American democracy in the digital age, yet Big Tech has continued to CANCEL our free speech with their restrictive moderation and biased censorship algorithms. With conservative users facing suspensions and shadow bans every single day, we can NOT allow Big Tech to silence us. Big Tech must be stopped before it is too late!

Speaking of woke gender ideology…the Parental Rights in Education Bill has received a great deal of national support. Disney however, has been particularly vocal in speaking out against the bill which they are now calling to be repealed. After remaining silent on many political issues, Disney has now decided to push their woke gender activism and their anti-american ideology on their child audience. Disney continues to reject American laws when they themselves are protected (and given special treatment) by American legislation!

ELON MUSK’S TWITTER TAKEOVER

Two weeks ago, Elon Musk became the majority shareholder of Twitter, bringing on a wave of hope that major changes were on the way for the social media platform and its policies on free speech and censorship. Congressman Banks sent a letter to Musk, calling on him to revise these policies with the hope of fighting off Big Tech and putting an end to the platform canceling right-leaning views. Conservatives applauded Musk, who tweeted that he was “worried about de facto bias in ‘the Twitter algorithm’ having a major effect on public discourse.”

In his letter, Banks references his own personal experience of being censored on the platform for his remarks regarding trangender officer Rachel Levine, which were deemed “hateful” by twitter moderators, as well as instances of censorship in regards to the topics of NCAA transgender athletes and the Hunter Biden laptop information. It has since been announced that Musk turned down the option to serve on the Twitter board and instead has launched a bid to take the company private, amassing almost $46.5 billion in financing in a potential tender offer for the company.   

BANKS SHUTS DOWN WOKE DISNEY

Recently, Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill has caught fire and found itself as a battleground of ‘woke’ culture. Disney has been vocal in criticizing the bill, releasing public statements that the bill “should never have passed”. Congressman Banks appeared on FOX Business here to stand up to Disney’s woke activism. 

Banks called Disney’s actions ‘shameful’, and did not hold back from bringing up the company’s prior involvement with Harvey Weinstein, who previously was under Disney’s watch at Miramax.
 
Banks expressed his disgust that the children’s entertainment company has become more concerned with taking activist stances and appealing to political audiences rather than focusing on the children and families who have made up the foundation of Disney’s core audience since it was built. 

This past week, Florida’s Senate and House voted to revoke Disney’s special treatments and tax freedoms. Banks has also sent a letter to Disney making it known that he will not support an extension to Disney’s copyright protection when it expires in 2024.
