Thank you for joining this grassroots team – I could not fight this fight without you.

I’m in this because after much serious thought and prayer, I came to a conclusion I could not avoid: my service to this nation is not over.

I am officially running for U.S. Senate in the state of Michigan in 2020.

Why? Because America is at a crossroads, and this fight is too important to sit out. I have three young sons, and I have a chance to shape the world they will grow up in. Passing up that chance would mean ignoring the creed I have spent my entire life living by: service before self.

But today’s Washington politicians have put self before service. They have spent too much time using their office to profit for themselves rather than produce results for us. I know you are tired of career politicians who campaign all the time and show no results – which is why in the coming months I will continue to run my family business and raise my family. Early next year, I will hold an official kickoff where I talk about how we can make Michigan – and America – a better place for ALL of us.
