Happy Earth Day! If there's one thing I hope you know about me, it's my love for my beautiful state of Wisconsin and deep appreciation for our country's natural resources.
Growing up in the Chippewa Valley — the home of Earth Day founder and Wisconsin U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson — enjoying the great outdoors wasn't just an activity, it's who we are.
My parents always taught me the importance of our treasured outdoor spaces. Every summer, we'd pack up the camper to visit our Great Lakes, public lands, and forests in Wisconsin and across the country. (Keep scrolling for more photos!)
After I was elected State Treasurer, one of my first acts was to lift a Republican gag order preventing us from even talking about climate change. And as Chair of the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands, I've managed 77,000 acres of public lands and led a $1.3 billion fund — investing millions of dollars in renewable energy projects.
As a mom, I believe we have a moral obligation to tackle the climate crisis and fight to protect the future of our planet for our children. That’s why I decided to run for U.S. Senate. It’s also why combating climate change is a top priority of mine so that kids like my son, Hartley, can continue to enjoy our outdoor spaces.
I have fought hard to protect our natural resources and preserve our environment for future generations as State Treasurer, and I’ll keep up the fight as Wisconsin’s next U.S. Senator — because Ron Johnson couldn’t be more different.
He’s too busy denying science and calling climate change "bullsh*t" to notice that our water levels are rising, our storms are getting more intense, and the amount of carbon in our atmosphere keeps increasing.
The people of my state deserve a U.S. Senator who will tackle the climate crisis and fight like hell to protect our environment for future generations to enjoy — just as I did. That's why I'm running to replace Ron Johnson, but I need your support.
Will you make a contribution to my campaign for U.S. Senate to help me defeat Ron Johnson so we can finally work to combat the urgent threat of climate change? If we want to protect the future of our planet, we can't afford another six years of anti-science, climate-denying politicians like him.

As Wisconsin's next U.S. Senator, I will always work to preserve our Great Lakes, protect our natural resources, and stand up to the special interests that are seeking to take away our rights to clean air and clean water. You have my word.
Thank you, as always, for your support.
