One of the frustrating things about working with liars is they have zero trouble doubling down when confronted with the truth.

And while the current news cycle presents a perfect example of this in Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, I'm talking more about the loudest voices pushing Donald Trump's conspiracies and lies: Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Madison Cawthorn, Lauren Boebert, and Matt Gaetz.

These leaders are disastrous for America and Congress because they epitomize the toxic tribalism and partisan extremism that's tearing down our institutions and tearing apart our country. They'd rather chase fame than solve problems -- which wouldn't be so bad if they weren't undermining our republic in the process.

And that's why I'm announcing a huge investment in unseating these most toxic members of Congress in the primary elections.

Conventional wisdom would tell you that these incumbents can't be defeated in safe Republican districts... and if we were using the typical playbook, that'd be true. But our bold, first-of-its-kind strategy is to activate Democrats, Independents, and Disaffected Republicans to show up and vote them out IN THE PRIMARY.  After all, so few Americans vote in the primaries that a small shift can have a HUGE impact on the outcome.

We've done the math and this can work, but we must have the resources to blanket these districts with direct mail, text messaging, ads, and grassroots outreach.  Our plan is in place, and we're ready to execute it.  There's two ways you can help (no matter where in the U.S. you live):

We have a strong foundation in place, and there's a lot of great work yet to be done!  Thank you to everyone who has lent support of any kind (moral, financial, or both) to this cause.  I know our kids and grandkids will thank us one day for refusing to accept today's politics as the new normal.

And finally, on a different note, I want to share an update on our movement's support of the Ukrainian people.  Thanks to the generosity of our members, Country First has donated $50,000 to Nova Ukraine, $25,000 to the Ukraine Freedom Project, and earlier this week $15,000 to Ripley's Heroes. Beyond support of refugees, the funds are also being used to purchase an ambulance, body armor, and aerial surveillance equipment. 

Country First takes pride in identifying groups in Ukraine that are daring to work miracles, yet are not part of a major, well-heeled organization.  We will continue looking for opportunities to help the Ukrainian people and I'll always give credit where it's due: the incredible Americans who bring this movement to life.  Thank you!
