John -- Today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a heavily gerrymandered congressional map into effect that significantly diminishes Black voting power.

This map also significantly improves Republicans' chances on the 2022 congressional map, which is otherwise considered fair and balanced for the first time in decades.

This fight in Florida isn’t over yet, John. Even before DeSantis’ signature, one of All On The Line’s affiliates, the National Redistricting Foundation, supported individual voters and community organizations in their challenge against these blatantly gerrymandered maps.

The next decade of progress could hinge on the outcome of these maps in Florida. With just under seven months until election day, this movement will deploy every tool available to secure fair maps for Floridians and voters across the country -- whether that is supporting voters in court or mobilizing voters ahead of election day, we are committed to the fight for fair elections.

As A.G. Holder says, “inaction is not an option.”
