Dear friends,
Today is Earth Day, and it’s a good reminder of our collective responsibility to care for each other and the planet – and to build an affordable, sustainable, and inclusive future for everyone.
For a large and growing share of Californians, the impacts of climate change are not an abstract possibility; they are a lived reality, experienced through catastrophic wildfires, deadly heat waves, chronic air pollution, and crushing drought.
To prepare and protect ourselves from climate change, we must transform our cities to make them more affordable, more resilient, and less reliant on the fossil fuels that are the primary causes of climate and air pollution.
That’s why we’re proud to sponsor AB 2097, which will reduce housing costs and slash climate and air pollution by eliminating expensive parking mandates on new homes near high-quality transit.
If you haven’t already, please add your name in support of AB 2097 by signing our petition today.

For too long, our state’s land use decisions have prioritized parking for cars over housing for humans.
Car traffic is our state’s single largest source of climate pollution. Making it more affordable for people to live in walkable, transit-rich neighborhoods is a critical piece of any successful climate plan.
If California wants to get serious on climate, we need to adopt approaches that make it more affordable for Californians to live near good transit – or just possible to walk to the grocery store.
Sign your name today to become a community co-sponsor of AB 2097, which will eliminate expensive parking mandates on new homes near high-quality transit.

Gratefully,
